Since the dawn of time, the Bollywood film industry has granted such movies that are relevant to the corruption of the police department. The directors of the movies have arranged an intimate look for the common people to identify the exact phenomenon that they have made for the police officers and their real deviant activities. The controversial issue is that do the movies pretend the police department accurately as corrupt or to sabotage it? This article will explain the laws and regulations of the police department that they usually neglect.

A police is a powerful force comprised with some laws as well as structured to protect the nation. They have to obey different duties to provide shelter to the nation and secure their properties, life, colliding on the public place etc. Besides these obligations, the police department has many other duties to fulfill but among them there are various constables who do corruption while on the other hand some others are good and honest.

What is corruption? Although there is no any authentic definition of corruption accepted by the people all over the world rather there are different perceptions. According to moral ethics, the people do corruption to get personal benefits by using the bestowed position as well as power in a negative way. It can hold many illegal tricks as bribery, threaten, embezzlement, fraud etc. According to Karl Kraus,

“Corruption is worse than prostitution. The latter might endanger the morals of an individual, the former invariably endangers the morals of the entire country.”

The movies are the complete genre and facet to comprise all the diverse affairs of the state. In this way, the Bollywood industry has immensely portrayed the issues of the police department. Almost in every movie, the police has obtained an essential role to move forward the story. The story lines of the movies follow the actions of the police officers that they do in their real life. Some of them do really awful things that can make them villain rather than heroes.

The Indian movies and songs explicit the internal affairs of the police departments and expose them. They depict the different corrupted activities of the police department and there are various deeds that the police does in such cases as,

• Sometimes, the police delay to reach on the spot when the crime has been done as they have already plotted the scheme with the criminals.
• The police demand extra money from the citizens, as the bribery, and make prevaricates in order to protect them.
• They often threaten the people to do the things, whatever they themselves want.
• Most of the police officers don’t perform their duties sincerely as they get the benefit of the occasion.
• If a girl or a young lady comes and ask the police constable to protect her from the evil guys or gangsters then most of the time, it has been seen that the same police officer takes advantage from that moment except serving her.

To conclude the above discussion into a nutshell, we can say that the public or the nation of any country has made a sketch in their minds of the police officers as they are the heroes of the nation. The Bollywood movies illustrate the above mentioned activities in their story lines as well as in video songs. It is also supposed that the uniform of the police officer can affect psychologically to the minds of the people. The dark color of the uniform may suggest that the officer is himself as much aggressive or corrupt as the color of his shirt.
