After watching the movie ‘My Name Is Khan’, Paulo Coelho tweeted, “His first (and only) movie that I watched (this year, even if it was released in 2008) was “My name is Khan”. And not only the movie was excellent, but SRK deserved an Oscar if Hollywood was not manipulated . He kindly offered to send the other titles – as you probably guess, it is not easy to find them in Switzerland.”

My Name Is Khan is one of the most evident movies of Indian cinema. The plot of the movie revolves around the leading character of Shahrukh Khan who is a mildly autistic Muslim man. He travels through different regions of U.S. to meet the president Obama. To remove the allegations and conspiracies against Islam as well as the Muslims, both Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan chose the title like, ‘My Name Is Khan’. One of the movie dialogues as ‘My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist,’ has got fame all across the world. This Indian movie songs have also become popular especially ‘Sajdaa’ song which is sung by the Pakistani singer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan got much popularity than that of others.

This is the theme plot that amused Paulo Coelho deeply. The statement that Paulo tweeted on twitter vividly showed that he is not an opponent of Islam:

“2 things that I find totally out of reality
A) to blame Islam
B) to blame USA
for all problems we have today”

‘My Name Is Khan’ has not a common theme rather it is a universal. It encompasses the brutal reality of the world who has some misconceptions about Islam. Kajol the leading female character in MNIK stated:

“MNIK is an unusual Bollywood film, if at all, and doesn’t have those quintessential pre-requisite elements that any Bollywood film has. It’s telling a story with a strong message, professing humanity and goodness and putting it out on a big cinematic scale. So all put together it is definitely a different experience for main stream India. All I can say is that MNIK is going to open windows and doors to many people who have stories to tell and are shy to put their story on the celluloid.”
